Terms of Service
Last updated: May 21, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SCC Fair Freight (“SCC”, “we”, “us”), a freight coordination platform connecting shippers, carriers, dispatchers, and fleet operators. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of any company you register. Carriers must hold a valid DOT/MC number, current CDL where applicable, and active cargo insurance. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
2. Verification & freight access
Access to load acceptance is gated by SCC’s Verification Gate. Submitting false credentials, insurance, or identity documents is grounds for immediate suspension and may be reported to authorities and to FMCSA.
3. Marketplace conduct
SCC is a venue for parties to discover, negotiate, and coordinate freight. SCC is not a party to any freight contract between a shipper and a carrier. You agree not to: (a) double-broker without disclosure, (b) misrepresent equipment or capacity, (c) abandon assigned loads, (d) harass other users, or (e) circumvent the platform to avoid fees or verification.
4. Subscriptions & billing
Free tiers remain free. Paid plans (Carrier Pro, Dispatcher Pro, Shipper Pro, Fleet, Enterprise) are billed monthly via Stripe. Sales tax, VAT, and GST are calculated and collected automatically where applicable. By starting a paid subscription you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
5. Trials
Trials are offered once per plan per account. No card is required to start a trial. When a trial ends without conversion, your account reverts to the Free tier — your loads, applications, messages, PODs, and reputation remain intact.
6. Disputes & payouts
Freight disputes are handled by SCC’s admin team using the in-app dispute workflow. Decisions on payout adjustments are final at SCC’s discretion within the published dispute policy.
7. Intellectual property
The platform, its software, branding, and content are owned by SCC. You retain ownership of content you upload (PODs, photos, posts) but grant SCC a non-exclusive license to host, display, and use it to operate the service.
8. Limitation of liability
SCC provides the platform “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including freight loss, missed loads, or carrier/shipper disputes.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or FMCSA rules. You may cancel your subscription at any time from Billing.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before taking effect.
